Members should be braced again as, if the forecast is correct, we will receive the ex US storm from the south west with gusts p.m. in excess of 45 mph. So, runway 25 all day.

Wonder how this gusty wind may interfere with the landing of our all weather fighter, and hence the authorisation to take off in the first place.

Storm force winds and rain will fade away overnight to give us a bright, if chilly at 3C, start to the day.

Just a little cloud in the afternoon as temperatures reach 6/7C in a west south westerly breeze, before a drop of night flying by 29 Sqdn.

Ideal conditions for a drop of uninterrupted Bingo.

A chilly start to the day with a steady north westerly (runway 25) keeping us alert at some 6/7C. It will though be mainly sunny, and any cloud should quickly pass through. Wooly hats should be on standby to stop the cells from slowing down.

Noting that Friday is possibly another training day, then all the more reason for the attentive to expect some Bingo at 13.00.

Morning cloud and rain may well interfere with any 08.00 Bingo plans, but should clear by noon to give us perhaps the better day of the week in a 10/11C south westerly.

So, runway 25 all day as we settle down for a good afternoons entertainment.

Still chilly overnight, MAM was coldest place in UK over weekend at -4C.

Won't be as sunny as today, in fact mainly cloudy in a steady north easterly giving us runway 07 all day.

Members will be pleased to see long lost part timer Welsh Stanley, back from his 4 month Spanish trip with tales of a mornings fishing/lunch/free oranges - all for 5 euros - guess he would vote with Dave, if he had a UK address.

As we celebrate the vernal equinox, I would like to wish No.2 son a very happy 38th birthday.

Also best wishes to The Captain, who is of course considerably older.

Was good to finally get up to Coningsby last week and see a few old faces (no pun intended)
Hopefully we will get up again in may. .

After a chilly start, the increasing pressure should give us a fine sunny day in a light north westerly at some 14C - so runway 25.
Hoping that this will bring on more than one drop of Bingo, to keep us entertained to the full.

Don't know for sure if the F22 are entertaining our EF2000s, we will have to see, but clear skies may well give us sight of them heading north to 323 complex etc.

Will be a bit chilly this week in a cool northerly wind and showers, perhaps of a wintry nature early on.

There is every possibillity that the 40mph plus gusts may well concentrate the minds of the PDA fraternity, apart from any of the normal flying.

Temperature may be more than 10C below recent days as we move to a light north easterly, as opposed to the light south easterly which gave us all that French warmth. Good job, cos the air con in car 2 is in need of attention.

So runway 07 all day. Not aware of any night flying, but we may well see a couple of prop jobs before a light shower or two later on.

p.s. Enjoyed watching both Clean/Tabor Flights, each 2 KC plus 4 F22 in standard formation, fly across my estate this morning.
It may well be the case that the third set depart on Tuesday, so, "stand by your beds".

Another light north easterly, giving our members runway 07 all day, as temperatures rise to only some 13/14C - although mainly dry.

Sadly, I shall be AWOL due to ongoing car work - gone are the days when I could lay on the ground and fix anything. Now, can't get up, so have to pay matey (who thinks he knows) a small fortune to turn a few nuts and bolts.

Look forward to being back on parade next week.

Bit of extended day/night flying for the next two weeks - do hope it is a bit more inspiring than that of two weeks ago.

Increasing northerly wind and rain as the day progressess, giving us runway 07 all day, might get a bit interesting as it is from the low pressure system that gave all the recent problems in Paris and Germany. Don't expect temperatures to rise above 14C if we are lucky.

Members will be upstanding at around 12.45 local, and facing 200 thro 270, to watch the HRH 90 practice flypast at 3,000 feet going from MAM via CWL to WAD.

Whilst the 4 Choppers will not be there, and The Reds don't need to practice, 2 Tornardos and 2 Typhoon will be with the remains of our force (C17, C130, BA146, Sentinel, Rivet Joint, Voyager) that will be clearly visible from miles around.

Mark3 may well be at Waddington to check the break up of the flight.

Early fog will clear in a light and partly cloudy north easterly, at a very pleasant 21/22C, giving us runway 07 all day .

Our Norfolk friends may well enjoy the sight of the larger aircraft following the TACAN route BZN/MAM/EA1/NAVP on their way to form up offshore in the north sea, before "feet dry" Southwold at 12.35

Our Essex friends will of course be fully aware of what is occurring on Saturday, as the whole lot fly again from Southwold straight down The Mall to Buckingham Palace.

I still have a Southwold camcorder record, was it 1992, with Concorde and 9 Reds coming down out of the cloud to start the approach - had to go round again due to timing problems at London end - wonderfull

Should be mainly dry throughout the day, in a pleasant southerly breeze at 17C, giving us runway 25 all day. Rain may well set in late pm to spoil any mid week activity.

We will of course have plenty to discuss, as we all know someone whose democratic position was perhaps missplaced.

A most enjoyable time this afternoon at MAM.

Two Tornado lifted, one subsequently an air spare. 15.25, one Tornado complete with two F35 and a Hawk photo ship came in on a typical approach to runway 24.

One F35 went to the visual circuit, whilst the Tornado second F35 and Hawk went away to a wide radar circuit.

The visual circuit F35 gave us a normal low approach, and then two slow fly throughs with wheels down and VTOL gear extended (no hover) before rtb Fairford. The noise of that F35, when doing the business, will be a delight to some.

The second F35, with the Hawk, then completed a low approach - the F35 straight on to rtb Fairford, whilst the Hawk banked right for rtb Leeming.

Not over yet - the two Tornado then did a swept approach, breaking to land.

Looking forward to plenty of activity this week, as not aware of any plans for night flying.

Whilst the light breeze will by generally from the south, giving us runway 25 all day, there is the possibillity that it may swing round toward the east later on - a delight for the mound dwellers as things move to 07.

Sadly, temperatures may well rise above 30C, so hats for those of us who are follically challenged and car aircon as a last resort for those who may otherwise be boiled in our summer.

I may cough for a round of ice creams, but members should note that last time I did this Co-op had sold out of multipacks and I had to lash out for individual Magnums at £1.76 each - will need to know if you'll eat em before I invest.

Another hot day, sadly although Magnums have been on offer at £1 for a six pack they don't reach Coningsby Co-op.

Only our good friend Harrison Ford is fully aware of reciprocity, following his visit to Santa fe de Bogata, so I won't be coughing this time.

Should have been at Holbeach this morning as Americas finest let loose as many as 16 500lb beauties.
