Concorde to fly again?

Post by RunAndBreak » Sat Jun 28, 2025 6:20 pm

Evening all,

https://aviationa2z.com/index.php/2025/ ... n-in-2026/

Amazing if true, I've never seen the queen of the skies in flight before :Wow:

But if other members could verify, it would be much appreciated.

Absolutely zero chance of it ever being Concorde. No one left is qualified to fly it, maintain it, and the chance of a Concorde getting insured and in the air is as likely as men being able to land on the sun.!! This sort of reporting crops up from time to time!!. However... let us not discount that much later in the future, there MAY be a supersonic business jet, but it won't be Concorde as we know it for sure!!., and it will be long after the projected 2026 this sort of 'copy' fly's If you are flying from Heathrow, you will see 'my' Concorde OAB, which has my fingerprints all over it as a passenger many moons ago. :) :)

As raptor9 said....

No chance, quite apart from the fact that Airbus who were the legacy Airworthiness Certificate holder in 2003, pulled its Certification. That and Air France and BA flogged of most of the Spares at Auctions. Or likely disposed of what didn't sell or go to Museums. And BA stripped all the spares storage areas in the hangars the other side of the maintenance area. I know, as I watched that.

And a civi aircraft debate so not for this forum (google Boom Overture as that is the new supersonic US airliner due to fly in a few years time, but not for debate here?).

It could carry hand weapons - just in case, making it fit in here.
