My hay fever usually runs from mid April to the end of June; however it has hit early this year.
Anyone else having the same problem?

Not me but my sister down in Surrey has ultra loud sneezes that comes without warning and can be proper annoying. She blames hay fever which she reckons came early this year in March
But surely I protest there isn't any pollen yet?

Unfortunately science says otherwise, local honey as a cure for hayfever is a total myth. Scientific studies have been done and none of the results support this at all.
Just some info on it should you like to....
