Morning Jon, yeah you are totally right regarding Nev, his site was a brilliant source of info for the time and I am not surprised Lakenheath had to change freq’s as he was very good at what he did!
I can remember his F-15 Photo Database where he had photos of every Eagle to have ever graced the base and always encouraged others to send him pics so he could add them to his vast databases.
I’m doing fine anyway thanks, family have all grown up and flown the nest now so it’s a lot quieter around the house these days.Hope you and yours are ok as well. Like you I’m in a Mon-Fri job these days so unless I’m on leave I don’t have many opportunities to get out and about. However I’m driving around the country a lot now after leaving the RNLI and do see the occasional aircraft of interest now and again, not the same though. Every now and then I do deliver to customers on a massive housing development at the former RAF Alconbury, a place I used to love visiting in my younger days
Seems strange that the site is 25 yrs young as it doesn’t seem five mins that I first discovered it. Perhaps we ought to have a retro themed board in celebration!!
Anyway good to hear from you again mate to rekindle some old but not forgotten memories and as you say the current staff are doing an amazing job so hopefully long may it continue .
Do you still hear from any of the old gang? MarkF15 and Boff spring to mind……..
All the best Glenn.
