John Prescott had died aged 86 of dementia. Well known for his somewhat dubious views on things when Deputy Prime Minister!.

I'd say well known for bridging the centre and left of the labour party with pretty good effect. I'd also say one of a rare few politicians who put the job before themselves.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Agree. Never been and never will be a Labour voter but you knew where you stood with him (as with Tony Benn) - unlike the present incumbants.
