Might be genuine but I got an e mail from "my bank" today regarding paying my credit card .Just deleted it as I have had an account there since 1985 and have never had a contact re my payments.The account has been red for about 15 years continuously so no need to contact me.Might be something to watch out for.

You are almost certainly correct in your suspicions - when was the last time you found a banker working over a weekend.

I get what is obviously an automated email every month on the day my credit card is made up. Also get a monthly email reminder to check my account messages.
But right to be suspicious.
