Ambulance driving and now filling in for the Border Force till the end of the month. Our forces are brilliant, put upon, under paid and many housed in poor accommodation. Having to give up Christmas to keep the airports flowing.
Thank you for your service.

The intent of the thread is to thank the forces for everything they do on our behalf. Be good if that can be respected.

Couldnt have put it better XWP29.i think it was an absolute insult on TV tonight when Union rep said they couldnt do security. My wife travelled through Glasgow and Gatwick with prohibited scissors in the handbag(3 misses Glasgow and in and out of Gatwick.)She forgot about them??.Leuchars air day quite a few times simply politely asked to pop the bonnet while in the car(incase it goes bang)then open the boot .Please move this or that.Good look under the car and the obligatory Spaniel. All done very politely with loads of apologies about having to do it .Didnt hear one of the people pulled over complain.Gatwick attitude was terrible yet their machine missed it twice.Must admit the Springer doing the search did seem a bit interested in our Springer bitch in the boot, she did have the dark eyes and lashes
10 Years with son no problem 5 with wife stopped everytime. It wisnae me.But I am glad as would others I think as there were as usual huge crowds and safety comes first .The covering weapons were there but you had to look for them.
These guys know more about airport security than a lot of people know and I for one am proud of them stepping in especially at this time of year.
Serving military and those retired who did more than me. Thank you very much for EVERYTHING you are doing in the attempt to keep us safe.
Merry Christmas to you all and your families as this has probably disrupted everything
As to the forum the same applies as most of you are military but Merry christmas to everybody and thank you very much for all the help you have given me through the year.
