Ripped from the BBC
The tournament kicks off on 20 November with hosts Qatar facing Ecuador.
( I assume some of the Qatar Eagles that have passed through Mildenhall will participate in a fly past )
England and Wales are in action the following day against Iran and the United States respectively in Group B.
England vs Wales on 29 November Kick off at 19:00 UTC

And this one event will produce more carbon deposits than the whole season of F.1. I'm never quite sure why people in general expect everyone to be a football fan. Not me, I'm afraid, but, being a patriotic Brit, I wish the team well.

Surely you mean "teams" rather than "team" as there are two Brit teams - England and Wales in World Cup 2022.

I'm not a great footie fan but I normally watch some World Cup games. In my inexpert opinion England are in with a decent shout this year but I won't see it as I've taken a personal decision to boycott it. The conditions for the immigrant workers who built it were horriffic, effectively slave labour with many deaths and insanitary living conditions. People at the top making huge fortunes through corruption and exploitation, all that's wrong with football now brought into sharp focus. FIFA should be ashamed of themselves.

Bit on the telly this morning saying the fans will be charged at least seven pounds for just over half a pint of Bud non alcoholic beer.I have had worse charges than that in this country. £4:50 for a bottle of Bud inside Murrayfield about 7 or8 years ago is one that would be comparable.Wife got a large quantity of decent wine in a sealed plastic glass for £3:50.Guess what the next round was.

Send a strongly-worded letter to 'Points of view' if you're not happy, there's no point moaning in here!

Considering the amount of heavy jets belonging to Qatar , Virgin Atlantic , World2Fly etc departing Cardiff today bound for Qatar. There is definitely money about ! And I'm sure a lot of drinking on the Virgin flight as there will only be virgin beer in Qatar.
