NATO, Russia and the Suwalki Gap

Post by C24 » Sat Jul 09, 2022 4:09 pm

This the area which lies between 🇱🇹 Lithuania and 🇮🇩 Poland which have a land border. It has been and is likely to become important should Russia push NATO whilst fighting in the Ukraine.

Well worth a read as background to the current situation in Europe.

It has been the centre of NATO's attention for years, with major execises taking part there each year, involving river crossings, and both air and ground assaults and insertions.
