Just reading the BBC - she's too young to have a celebratory drink in New York!

The figures in the last three weeks are simply mind blowing, to win a Championship without dropping a set is unbelievable. Maturity and professionalism way above her 18yrs. Well done Emma, so proud to be 🇬🇧 tonight

What a wonderfully mature tribute to New York by Emma's opponent, Leylah Fernandez on this day. Neither woman were alive when 9-11 happened.

Serving an ace to win the US Open championship, all done in two straight sets! You go girl!

Earlier in the game she slipped and broke skin with some bleeding, she had a plaster put on and continued without fuss or tantrum. If it was a footballer he would have been taken off on a stretcher and flown to hospital, under general anaesthetic in the air ambulance.

Lovely picture on Twitter of her being embraced by Virginia Wade.

Great Paralympic performances, great Olympic performances and now Emma Radunacu. Will it be BMX, skateboard or tennis which leads to the BBC Sports Personality of the Year?
