Pleased to read that Mr. Southgate has requested the English fans to not boo the Italian National Anthem tonight. He says it is disrespectful, which it most certainly is, but I suspect his words will unfortunately be disregarded. Booing a National Anthem is extremely offensive in a lot of peoples opinion. Hope it's a good game with the right result. Re the black Hunters, some of us oldies were at Farnborough for the massive loop!!.

The Italian national anthem is absolutely brilliant, everything you want from an anthem. Shame ours is total tosh, and so slow it’s frequently sung at different paces across the stadium.

111 Sqn - majority of the 22 Hunters were black, but a couple of grey/green camo ones borrowed from other squadron(s) to make up the numbers. And yes - I was there!

One of the 'big loop Hunters' was at Thunder City, South Africa, still flying in 2005. Don't do numbers, so not sure which one it was. It was Overall Yellow at Cape Town!.

I found booing at the National Anthem, regardless if it was the Danish or German one extremly disrespectful. Yes, you may not like us Germans or Danish, which is totally okay, but try to imagine the outcry if such match would take place in Denmark or Germany and the local fans would boo while the British National Anthem is played.
