After a lap top problem I discovered it was the DVD player that was causing lock ups.Didnt get a disc with the lap top when I got it(new)so couldnt reinstall. On advice downloaded VLC and have found it pretty poor.Looking on line it is advertised as number one for Windows 10.I would have to think that is by downloads not quality.Any recommendations?
Thanks for any help
Keith

This used to be one of the best pieces of DVD software for Windows and I haven't used it for a long long time.
Sadly its not exactly cheap.

At least there is a free trial so you can see if you like it in advance!

I can only say that modern computers are already produced without a DVD drive. Still, such storage media are already very outdated.

I really miss the 5.25" floppy drives - however i have bought a 3.5" external floppy drive which seems to work fine!

It was a 3.5" floppy disc that went belly up while backing up that caused me to lose thousands of records some years ago.
