The FIA have thrown out Red Bull's protest, so their original decision is unchanged. Time to put this fairly unsporting period to bed. Moving on.....

Good to see common sense shining through. Still got a nagging feeling it won't be the end of it though..

Awful lot of memory loss from Red Bull over Lewis's and Mercedes's behaviour after the race. As has been pointed out, Max was perfectly happy to spray the champagne on the podium in Bahrain last year, after Grosjean's accident, which was far more severe than his own more than a touch of hypocrisy here!.

It's not over !

Max Verstappen has said he received a message from all F1 team principals after his Silverstone crash, bar Mercedes’ Toto Wolff.

But also spoke to Lewis so...Just need to get on with it now, it's boring and detracting from the season.

Good to see that Lewis and Max fist bumped each other as they walked past after qualifying.

Hamilton has been very supportive of Valterri lately, talking about good team work and name checking him. I think Lewis would prefer to keep Bottas as team mate and I imagine Lewis is fairly influential at Merc!

I would put money on VB staying. He is a very good wingman most of the time, and, as I have said before, the last thing Lewis, and Mercedes, want would be another Hamilton/Rosberg feud, which might be a possibility if George goes there. I have always thought that Bottas would stay if Lewis doesn't win the Championship this year, which may be the case, so he may well have another season as No. 2. I have a sneaking feeling that this was decided some time ago, when Bottas revealed he would be in a Mercedes engined car next season. He would hardly swap places with George, and Valterri seems to be in much better humour at the moment. Done deal!.

So Bottas just took out both Red Bulls. 2022 contract in the bag 😀

Got to love a Hamilton moan when things don't go his way...What a shocking call from Mercedes!
