Thick fog. Even thicker driver ...

Post by Velvet Glove » Tue Jan 12, 2021 6:39 am

.

THIS is why I'm always reminding my wife if she's held up on a fast road with nothing behind her to watch her back, put her hazards on and seriously think about getting herself out of the vehicle and "off the carriageway" ASAP.

I guess the fog wasn't the only thing that was dense.

Maybe a good driver (not!) but a certainly terrible parent...

"The driver, from Peterborough, was issued with a Traffic Offence Report at the roadside and is expected to be called to court in the future".

Surely for doing 130mph(dangerous driving), in any conditions would result in automatic arrest and fast track court appearance along with seizure of the vehicle, if not why not?

And a while ago, I read that insurers had ranked Audis and BMWs as the cars most likely to have an RTA.

I am not knocking anyone on here with one, though!

The driver will definitely get a ban and a huge fine, hopefully to the limit of the law, as an ex firefighter of 25 years I have attended many RTA's and the consequences of his arrogant action don't bare thinking about, he says he's a good driver, I disagree completely, he is the worst kind of driver, an arrogant appalling driver who thinks he is brilliant, a deadly combination. :@ :@
I have to agree about BMW, Audi, and would add VW and Mercedes drivers, must be something in the air conditioning :Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

with regard to looking behind in fog.In the 1980`s we went to most Celtic mid week matches and for some reason the mate/a8 route seemed to get a lot of fog .On at least 2 occassions the rear passenger spent from Glasgow to north of Stirling checking behind us for traffic and finding it.on at least 2 occassions it was 1 or more lorries and if he hadnt seen them and I chanced it by putting the foot down into thick fog we would have been pranged or worse.Worst part was they gave us the blast on the hooter as we were not going fast enough.Still have idiots there but dont seem to get the fog
