I have grown disillusioned with Trump over his term in the White House, I had thought/hoped he was a sly and wile old fox with guile and so forth, I've been disappointed, immensely, more so given his unseemly behaviour over the last few hours. However, I'm not much reassured by the idea of President Biden. I suspect Johnson could end up clashing with the new President, especially over issues regarding UK sovereign territory.

A Gentlemen who's attitude toward this country is yet to be fully revealed, but so far the omens aren't that good. Its no good being a gentleman if the gentleman is your enemy. Grace and composure will not count for much in that case.

He was one of the few US politicians that fully supported Britain during the Falklands crisis, so he clearly doesn’t hate us. He was however against Brexit, but needs to remember that the people spoke then just like they’ve done now in his neck of the woods.

I'm sure Mr.Biden will do an adequate job as the new president, but really at his advanced age in modern day politics ,can you really see him serving two terms in this highly stressful job.
The really aim of the Democrats is to use him as a stopgap until, in four years time , to push the new vice president, Kamala Harris, in to office so that the USA can finally come into the 21st century and elect a female leader.

Republicans will probably be going with Trumps daughter Ivanka, which has always been one of DTs aim to get her into the White House so either way a very good chance of the first female president of the USA in 2025

That's a fair point, I had no idea of his position over the Falklands. The problems ahead may even be our Government's fault, essentially the desire to amend the withdrawal agreement, particularly with regards to the Irish inner border. However, and its just my opinion, ultimately, as a sovereign state the border is between ourselves and a another state, whatever the good relations, The EU appear to want to impose some regulation over Northern Ireland, regardless of Brexit, but its UK soil just the same. I'm sure Johnson doesn't want to picket the border, but the EU and dare I say Joe Biden seem to think any perceived threat from the IRA (I don't know if they have made even a covert threat to resume their terrorist activities) should be appeased? Do the EU really want to break off Northern Ireland and subsume it into the EU once and for all? My personal opinion, and I can only give that, is that there are too many folk in and out of the UK who want to break it up. I don't think it would be a good idea.

Jeez. What is it about you youngsters that think 78 year old people like Joe Biden and me are about to pop their clogs!!!. Many of us our still perfectly capable of cognotive thought!!!. I am fit, with all my faculties, even if my wife says I sometimes forget where I have put them!!. There are some pretty capable older people about, and Joe Biden might just be one of them!!! {Just had a hospital check up, got the Doctor's report, describing me as sensible and intelligent!!. My wife says he got his paperwork in a mess.}
