Lunacy, that is all.. :Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

You could tell the concept would be a load of cobblers the moment the words "Pro Corbyn think tank" were used.

Hopefully these Corbyn supporters might see sense and not vote Labour?

Can someone pass a law that all MP's must retire and not continue working after retirement age, then we can get rid of these old dinosaurs who think they know better. This would also clear most of the house of Lords.

Mike

Yes but unfortunately only Parliament can pass laws - MPs in the Commons and The House of Lords - oh the irony!

it'll never get that far. My son lives in London, has a driving licence but not a car, for the most part for him the public transport in town is fine, plenty of buses, 24 hour tube etc. I live a bit more rural and drive to work as the opposite is the case with public transport, virtually none and it stops at 7pm. Once driverless electric vehicles become the norm which is inevitable then urban car ownership will fall dramatically. You'll be able to book a car on line to turn up at your house at a specified time, to drive you to where you need to go. Obviously lots of practicalities to deal with, I wouldn't want to get into a car that's just dropped a drunkard off at home after he's been to the pub and kebab shop, but I'd say big changes are certain.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

As a slight 'side issue', the end of petrol and diesel vehicles. European manufacturers are supposedly going to end production of said vehicles. I'm calling BS on this.
In a country like the UK you might attempt it, but consider this.
How many of you have watched the Russian Dash Cam footage on YouTube? I was amazed at the number of German vehicles being driven on Russian roads, and the same goes for the former Eastern Bloc countries. Is Russia building an electric charging grid with all that oil underground? Can you imagine trying to operate electric vehicles in a Siberian winter? Do you honestly believe Germany will want to lose a vast source of income by not selling hydrocarbon powered vehicles to the former Soviet Bloc? Will Russian drivers want to go back to Ladas and Volgas?
Ain't gonna happen folks. IC engines will still be around in large numbers come 2040.

Simple you tow a huge battery behind you on a trailer and recharge it at a local Post Office (if you can find one)might need to queue though.
