Cricket England vs Ireland

Post by Gary » Wed Jul 24, 2019 2:43 pm

Different version of the game but looks like England test team have come crashed back down to earth. Bowled out for 85 in 23 overs :O Ireland currently 83 for 2. Not good with The Ashes a few days away

I wouldn't read anything into how badly England are doing as it's only a practice match, Scotland beat England in a one day game just over a year ago and England became world champions (just! ) 13 months later.

:)

Practice match? Test matches aren’t practice matches and I’m sure the players on both teams will be taking it very seriously....

And the 2nd innings collapse well under way.

One interesting stat.
Leach's 92 in second innings may be the first time a tail ender has outscored the entire side in the first!
