Re: NHS
Apologies Cornish - are you asking whether members are pleased with their experience(s) with the NHS?
If so yes as I am. Also with the fire service, ambulance service, police (local bobbies can be abit jobs worth) but these guys that deal with the terrorist situations I take my hat off to them and our Armed Services
I dont understand the initial paragraph though - my wife recently had a 'trip' to the hospital but did not feel I wanted to share on an open forum (dont think she would have been too pleased if I had either!!)

Re: NHS
Totally agree Cornish - they are worth their weight in gold. Also had an experience at Bury St Emunds hospital after a wasp sting - top people
Saying that - the people at my private medical care hospital are equally as good good and caring in having a similar approach
Best regards

Re: NHS
Sadly for me I remember the 3 misdiagnosis for 3 close family members, but im not bitter, still it takes time to get to terms with it.

Re: NHS
NHS saved my life after serious accident. I cannot praise the staff of Addenbrookes highly enough. I lead a virtually normal life now. If I lived in the US I would be in a wheelchair as medical insurance would not have covered my treatment fully or aftercare. I can state this as a fact as I know some in the US who had a similar accident and is still wheelchair bound as he and his family cannot afford the treatment.
Moral of this story. Never forget how lucky we are to have the NHS in the UK. Fight to keep it.

Re: NHS
My wife has a long term illness, and also myself and my wife had short stays in hospital in August this year. The treatment and care we get from our local hospital, Musgrove Park at Taunton couldn't be better also the support from our own local surgery as well. I have nothing but praise for our NHS, long may it carry on.

As far as I am concerned, they are all heroes and angels
My better half's treatment for her Cancer has been nothing short of superb, from the vital cleaners to the consultants, and her own GP.......superb
God bless them

Re: NHS
My wife was diagnosed with an illness last June, and from that point onward, throughout all of her treatment I have had nothing but praise and admiration for the NHS staff. That goes for the staff at our local Doctor's surgery, and all of the staff at Colchester General and Colchester Essex County Hospitals.
The care my wife has received, and continues to receive has been second to none!
The NHS gets a huge thumbs up from me, and that goes out to each and every person within this excellent service

And there's plenty more where that came from!
Re: NHS
heres my two pennorth. My wife was diagnosed with C.
The staff at Bolton breast unit were superd, she is now clear.
My daughter had two aneurisms and wasnt given much chance but thanks to Addenbrookes she is now leading a normal life.
Me......had a new hip last year. Was only in 3 days, care absolutely fantastic. the nurse even made me a fried egg butty after my op.
