Took two attempts but my laptop finally upgraded, first impression are OK. Although some of the apps look rubbish like Facebook etc. Not a fan of the new web browser either

its alright having windows 10. but on top of all the automatic updates for windows 8/ 8.1 its just more stuff to clog
a pc up making it even slower its just a shame they don't still run as fast as the day we bought them. more hassle me thinks Gary.

Mine updated last night took about an hour, but now tomtom doesn't work. Just says "connecting". Apparently lots of people having same problem. Have tried reinstalling software & updating driver :@ Will have to contact tomtom support.

My lap top upgraded no problems, touch wood - not that I'm superstitious, and been using it for the last couple of day's. Only problem so far is the built in SD card reader. It wont read SD cards any more.

Windows 7 - the way ahead.
Installed on the main and lappy from new. Absolute zero issues since installation.
Still wish I had XP though...

put it on a laptop at the weekend and must say very very impressive not installed everything yet so no doubt might be some teething problems but so far it is slick and sleek and 100 times better than windows 8

I had my message to upgrade the home PC, which surprised me as it is a bit long in the tooth.
It boots, you logon, it blue screens, it reboots.......and repeat !

System Repair cannot repair my machine - oh joy !

.....sharer 'gX' maybe offline for a while..... :'(

Edit:
Just to add:
Considering this was an upgrade, my options from the recovery menu is to recover to Windows 10 (no option to regress to Win7).
It has booted long enough on one occasion for me to logon and look at the restore points - they've all been deleted.

This is a family forum, so I'll refrain from expressing my current views of Microsoft ' Billyware'
