Re: What made you laugh today?
I know the River Mersey had been cleaned up and salmon and trout had been seen/caught but I went shopping at Sainsbury's and bought some salmon/fillets which were from Seaforth Loch

Hearing a few bars from "highway to the danger zone" on the 492nd A2A today, about mid morning. I thought I was hearing things.

Re: What made you laugh today?
I was on the Llangollen railway today as we passed Berwyn there was an almighty traffic jam an Abnormal Load had broken down on the Berwyn Bank unfortunately there was a number of abnormal loads going along the A5 to a wind farm under construction and they were too wide to get past. I did a return trip and it was stalemate.
I was speaking to the train crew they informed me that these abnormal loads have been operating for a few weeks and will continue
daily until the end of August the first abnormal load arrives at Llangollen about 10.45am they start off from Ellesmere Port travelling
along the M53 onto the A55 onto the A483 and along the A5 through to Corwen and to a cite with an unprounounsible welsh
name they are erecting 30 of these structures.
Edit Yellow Towers with Average Speed Cameras have been erected on some minor/major routes in North Wales. That is no Laughing matter.

What's the odds on Germany winning the world cup on penalties?
I might start a thread titled " You're not laughing now!" Could put it in the Marham section

How forums suddenly become quieter during bigger sporting events (fair enough I suppose.)
Edit: facial expressions of some footballers. Falling over, optional squirt of "magic deo" then BAU! Priceless
Then up as if nothing has happened....

Re: What made you laugh today?
United Utilities have just announced a hosepipe ban effective from the 5th, August, 2018, over the last couple
of days we have had heavy rain showers which have filled three 100 gallon water butts we have in our garden.
This morning one of the pipes leading from the roof to one of the butts had become blocked with moss and
debris I went rummaging in the garage looking for a cane I found one about twelve long low and behold it
had a white and red flag with the legend England, that's what made me and my wife laugh today.
