One more for fun !?

A rock formation I could of climbed backwards, 10 times! Just to get to this varied European base. It also sounds like you should take turns in making a list?

That is what I do

Peter was an emperor just not the right one!

So Nero , emperor penguin, Hadrian , Napoleon
Breakers - waves?
Beyond the base line - out? Or long?

I am looking at it as a back burner project - still plenty of lockdown time remaining

Bismarck? Army det and German empire

You're on the wrong path with the Emperor bit

Breakers, you're on the right track, just need to expand on it.....

Beyond the base line, think sports.........

Another hint: although this place is still active, it's glory days are in the past.

Sorry no.

I’ll give you another clue

“amongst the breakers” = waves, waves break at the beach
