Yes. Waited a bit to see what other people thought.Looks like a problem for RB dominance to be defeated. Nice to see Aston Martin well up. Makes the mid- field much more interesting, but I still regard Alonso as rather hot-headed when it comes to wheel to wheel racing. He got away with his pushy overtaking, but he tends towards very risky moves at times. May cost him a few points as the season progresses. Ah, well. Disappointing race, but it's nice to see it back!.

Not the best season opener, in my opinion. Thank goodness for Alonso . He seem to be the only driver racing out there today and well deserving of his podium finish. Unfortunately , with RB so dominant, that's probably going to be the best he can achieve.

George Russell is saying RB should win every race this season. Doesn't bode well for a competitive championship.

Sadly, the son of Mohammed Ben Sulayem [who is the current head of the FIA, the Governing body of Motorsport] has been killed in a road accident. He used to race in F.4 in 2016-17. Sad news.

FP1 under way in Jeddah, Alonso looks to be quick again.

Not sure how Hamilton will cope now that Ange is leaving him! She was his mental rock so it will be interesting.

Angela Cullen is a great lady, and has obviously been very good for Lewis. Incidentally, as far as I am aware, she was not actually employed by him, but works for a firm that deals with with star athletes etc.,. Nice lady, all the best to her. Hopefully Lewis can find a suitable replacement, but she wont be as good looking.......

Who is the Irish woman on commentary at times? She sounds awful.

Bernie Collins. She was a performance engineer at McLaren before becoming Head of Race Strategy at Aston Martin. She knows her stuff, but give her time to get used to being a Commentator. Rather different to her previous job!!.

I hope everyone can spare a though for Max this morning, what a terrible, terrible shame. I was so looking forward to him driving off into the distance again today. That car has the pace to easily come through the field so hopefully he'll get nudged off at the start. I quite like Perez so no complaints if he wins today but I'm really hoping Alonso can get the job done, I don't especially like him but what a story if he gets a win in an Aston.

Maybe there is a God :D Agree about Alonso, but it would be very nice to see the Aston take a win [or several]. If the Mercedes can't do it, why not them?. Alonso is far too aggressive with other people for my liking. I disliked him for his ruthlessness with Lewis when they were together at McLaren. Won't get to see the race until Monday. My wife's birthday, so off to the London Palladium and a night in a hotel. Enjoy the race. It will be different today.

Oh dear. Two dull races. Wonder what Liberty media will do to stop the haemorrhage in interest?

Not a very exciting race. A good race for max, again looking very predictable that red bull are going to easily dominant the season. Hope ferrari and Mercedes get there act together soon. Nice to see Aston Martin and alonso doing well again.
And also a good race from George Russell

Very boring I thought, pathetic penalties are ruining it for me .
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

At least the Alonso penalty has been reversed.
