that last line is very interesting , far less confrontational

Maybe he said the last line in Russian and they left the "yet" bit off the end

I still believe a lot of what is being said is for internal consumption, yes he is waging a war in Ukraine , but does he want to take it furthur, I am not convinced, and i also think that NATO/EU/US/UK leaders think(maybe hope) the same
which is why they are letting Ukraine fall as they know there will then be a buffer between east & west

I think the Russians will stop at when the territory to the east of the Dnieper River is under their control, I dont think they will push west ,at current rates it would take a very long time (months) to cover the whole of Ukraine

I doubt even the most ardent of Mr Putins followers would be able to stomach the losses incurred

I think the Russians will stop at when the territory to the east of the Dnieper River is under their control, I dont think they will push west ,at current rates it would take a very long time (months) to cover the whole of Ukraine

I would not be so sure, history has shown the total disregard the Russians have for human life.
Millions of their own citizens died with the collectivisation programme under Stalin, thousands killed by senseless frontal attacks during WW2, NKVD blocking detachments killing their own soldiers when retreating, the list goes on. With such contempt for their own people’s lives I would not expect any difference when it comes to others.

We're seeing the next level of potential escalation develop today (Sunday). I doubt whether some Polish-supplied Migs will significantly change the course of the invasion, but they will establish whether Russia is really willing to attack a NATO country overtly providing military support to Ukraine like it says. America's SoS who's just given the 'green light' for such behaviour may have inadvertently regulated NATO to becoming a regional gun club!

Footage of a Hind gunship taking a MANPADS head on is doing the rounds on Twitter and two SAMs have taken down an unidentified Russian jet this evening. I won’t share the footage on here, but it’s easily found. The Russians clearly don’t have air superiority, and by multiple sources they’ve run dry of smart munitions, so any dumb bombing is being done at low level.

Re. Russian helis with invasion stripes - the Ukrainian Mi-8 & Mi-24 have had stripes similar to those for several years - maybe a desperate measure to avoid being shot down?

Did I miss something here? If Pres' Pukin has effectively threatened the World with Military action if Ukraine is 'seen to be assisted' by any Nation? Then he has in fact confirmed his intention to commit war & lunatic atrocities on the whole Free World (Clearly that excludes China, North Korea & other factions of 'Vlad's Butt kissers!').. who currently feel able to merely stand aside & witness the Russian-vs-Russian conflict & devastation occurring on a daily basis. I can see that any intervention cannot be just NATO led, but surely there is a case for a unified UN resolution to provide at least a No Fly Zone? That demented midget has already accused many Countries of secret alliances, so why not pre-empt his next move & save lives & destruction of Ukraine right now? That Nutter won't stop even if he regains Ukraine! With Pukin's mental breakdown, he WILL make a bad decision on how far he can push the World & thus I'm fairly sure that some level of external conflict with Russia is inevitable.
