Another part of my childhood/adolescence has gone. RIP to Colin Vearncombe, AKA Black, who had a couple of hits including the beautiful "Wonderful Life"

A music joke I saw elsewhere this morning:

Record shop assistant: 'I'm sorry Lord Vader, we don't have that particular George Michael album in stock...'

Darth Vader: 'I find your lack of 'Faith' disturbing........'

Seeing its their last full tour of their 'electric rock' set I've just booked to see Status Quo at the Leeds Arena on 17 December. Should be a great night.

Axl Rose has been named new lead singer of AC/DC. After singer Brian Johnson was ordered to stop touring. Some rumours say Johnson was booted out out of the band http://www.kerrang.com/42438/acdc-confi ... ew-singer/

Must confess to having been to Leeds City Varieties this week to see the vocal group G4. Not my cup of tea usually but must say they are absolutely first class with a set ranging from Queen, Pavarotti, musicals, the Rat Pack and Bon Jovi. Went along really to see my wife who was singing with them as part of their backing Choir as well as doing their own couple of numbers. Good night all round...

Went to see Coldplay for the first time last Thursday at Wembley. Two hours of shear entertainment, if you haven't seen them I can thoroughly recommend going
