Hope Raptor doesn't read this thread

Not sure it'll go down as a classic, but good race. Odd to have one where almost the entirety of the coverage is on the leaders! I have no idea what happened behind Sainz

The price of it is that boy wonder takes home another big bag of points whilst those that can remotely catch him squabble amongst themselves. Same with the team.

I do like a race with a bit of rain thrown in. :thumb:

Max will be very happy with 2nd place all things considered; it certainly didn't look like it'd be that good a result going by the first half of the race.

Mclaren though. Some poor decisions today that cost them a possible race win and maybe two drivers on the podium.

Overtake of the race for me was Norris on Hamilton, without DRS.

Wow, what a brilliant Race, haven't really watched a race for a while but decided to watch today seeing as it was British Grand Prix Silverstone, and I'm really glad I did, loved seeing the 3 British Drivers in the top 3 positions (I'm Scottish but love all British Drivers - coming from the land of Stewart, Clark and Coulthard as I do). Really felt for poor George Russell if that car had behaved he would have hopefully done well. Well done to Lando Norris as I said all 3 (Hamilton, Norris and Russell can hold their heads up high) keep up the good work after Today.....

That will silence a few of Lewis's critics!!. Plenty of life in the old dog yet!!. Really pleased for him and the team. A good day!!!. And the concert was good too. Than heaven for TV recordings.

Not sure it warrants it's own thread yet, but 2025 sprint races will be China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Brazil and Qatar. Format remains unchanged.

No doubt someone will start a thread in December, just to be the first.

Quite a qually session. Unfortunately that'll probably be the highlight of the weekend...

Perez has a contract for 2025/26, but for how much longer is anyone's guess

My my, what a petulant child Verstappen is..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

What a crock of from McLaren... Not impressed. Surely you win a drivers championship by one driver scoring more points than another.

The teams are more focussed on the Constructors Championship, the drivers is a bonus, so they don't really care which one wins, just as long as they don't take each other out :Wow:
Cracking result for Mclaren, and Lewis again, Verstappen needs to calm down.

Just catching up as had to watch the race on catch up this week due to RIAT. Poor Max, my heart bleeds for him. Interestingly Horner said that his race engineer wasn't calling Max childish, he was saying it's childish to try and get penalties with radio chatter, that should be interesting going forwards. Every driver in the top 8 now has a win, except Sergio and McLaren are hot on Red Bulls heels in the constructors. Surely only a matter if time.

Hear! hear!

The constructors is what the teams really want - I used to work for McLaren in an office roll - IT and the constructors was all Ron and the top brasses ever mentioned

What a sulk Lando is and there seems to be a major rift at Redbull! Totally ridiculous behaviour from Max - if he spoke to me like that I would simply say thanks for coming but don't bother turning up for the next races - Lawson will take over from here. Bye!

Hamilton is really enjoying life again and has his sense of humour back - great to see

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦
Norris Piastri episode; perhaps one reason had something to do with driver sponsorship? A Piastri win would sit better than a second place.
From the F1 w/site
“ It is important to note this is the aggregate of two cars, not two drivers. The Sporting Regulations allow each team to use up to four drivers across the season, and all of their points will count in the Constructors’ Championship. Thus, AlphaTauri in 2023 had Yuki Tsunoda drive the whole season, with Nyck de Vries, Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson sharing the other car. The Italian team finished eighth in the championship with 25 points – Tsunoda scoring 17, Ricciardo six and Lawson two.

The scoring system awards championship points for the first ten finishers at each Grand Prix, with 25 points for the winner, before scaling down to 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and a single point for the 10th-placed driver. There’s an additional point available for the driver with the fastest lap of the race (if they finish in the top ten), plus more points available for success in F1 Sprint races. The team with the most points at the end of the year wins the title. No end of season play-offs.”

Just a thought and really, who gives a …. It’s not a race if the team decides which car is first over the line.

The race has FINISHED, so of course I can talk about it! In other threads people are giving live updates to scores etc, so please give up with the 'spoiler alert' crap.

As for the rest of your post, I've just got no idea!
