I have heard that "Eagles of Death Metal" are releasing "Save a Prayer" with the proceeds going to the victims of Fridays attacks in Paris.

For those of us that are rock/metal inclined, i always have a listen to these guys at Christmas. Two videos from this years Trans Siberian Orchestra, East coast line up. Bill Hudson, who I met at a pub gig in Wakefield a few years back when he was touring with UK power metal band Powerquest, is on lead guitar for the first time.

A real shame. He certainly didn't fit the mould but he did burn the candle at both ends and the middle!

I saw on the BBC News that 'Filthy Animal' Taylor had also died recently.

'Fast' Eddie Clarke is still going though.

Just heard the sad news of Mr Ian 'Lemmy' Kilmister passing

Very sad news but now blasting out the bass from the Marshall stacks on the other side

Would say RIP but don't think he would have wanted that -

Thanks for all Lemmy

So it's finally confirmed Slash and Duff McKagan are rejoining Guns N' Roses for Coachella, part of me is happy the other part dreading it but looking on with fascination to see how long it takes to implode  I hope the magic is still there and some European / UK dates get added. I was too young to see them in their prime. I do hope the reunion also includes Izzy Stradlin, Matt Sorum, to complete the line up I can remember listening to on bootleg tapes

All that said Axl Rose will have to actually turn up first

Hi Gary,I saw them quite a few times with the original line up in the eighties.
Yeah they where good back then, but not sure now.
It's just being done for the money and its not even the full original line up.
Tickets prices are going to be going on £180 in the states, that's a lot of cash.
I reckon Slash was better of just playing with Mykes Kennedy and doing the odd Guns song,he sounds more like Axl in the old days than Axl does now.
And there's always the chance Axl can't be bothered to show up on time for his gig,I remember once when they played Maine Road it took three hours before they came on after Faith No More finished, there where near riots.

Also announced yesterday the passing of Dale Griffin, Drummer with Mott The Hoople. Their song All The Young Dudes must be one of the great anthems of the 70's.
