Odd decision. Red Bull system churns out yet another talented driver - How Checo is still there is beyond me. Only been 11 races, not had chance to adjust and it's not like they are really a midfield team. Bizarre.
Who are they going to replace him with? I'm guessing this is why Ricciardo is going to Alpha Trouble (thanks Slogen). But the dictators are going to look pretty stupid if Tsunado wipes the floor with him(which I doubt).

Also rumours circulating that Norris has been talking to the cheaters. Whilst it would be interesting too see him against boy wonder, and how he'd adapt to the boywondermobile, I'd hope he had more class than that.

But when and if he gets the opportunity to be in the best car, he would be unwise to turn it down. Lewis has nothing to prove, so is content to stay where he is, but Lando is still up and coming. It's all about winning, not necessarily relationships.

Maybe Liam Lawson? After all, they’re a talent finding team, AT, rarely a team that long-standing drivers return to :S Yuki got away with a lot more in his first season and was given plenty of adjustment time.

Exactly. I recall a time when Tsunoda was having an accident a weekend! I get the impression that a future race driver was never the plan they had for de Vries.

Its working wonders for Perez.

And did for Albon.
And Gasly.

True, but I would rate Lando way above them as to his potential. Although Perez is currently struggling, he has been mighty in the past, having won 6 Grand Prix. I rate Lando as much better than the other two.

Perez yes, but above Albon and Gasly at your own risk.
Perez may have won 6 races, but lucked into most of them, and only really beat his current team mate in Azerbaijan this year. And even then boy wonder wasn't in a happy place that weekend.
He is solid, skilled driver, but no where near one of the greats.

Edit, and add Daniil Kvyatt to the previous list! Not that he'd be doing much in F1 in the current climate..

That dreadful Avril Levigne woman on the grid tho!. Did her 'assistant' not tell her that it was a F.1 grid, not a fashion show!.
Cara Delevingne. Her "assistant" as you call them was actually a member of the Alfa Romeo F1 team. I think she knows what a grid is, having driven a Formula E car!

There is no rule that celebrities on the grid must talk, and even if there was, there can always be exceptions. It was a misunderstanding, nothing more.

Was that actually an Alfa Rubbish team member though? Only wearing team shirt as far as I could tell..
My first thought was she either didn't want to sound stupid, or was more concerned about what her choice of clothing was going to reveal to the viewers.
As to whether or not there is a rule regarding engaging pundits, Martin Brundle has no need to spread false information, and as far as I'm concerned handled the situation brilliantly.

The so-called Brundle clause prohibits bodyguards from joining celebs on the grid. Celebs are also required to be courteous in dealing with media, but they are not required to give interviews.

He was an Alfa team member, and she was a guest of the Alfa Romeo team.

Brundle is great, and I don't think he did anything wrong either, but I don't see the need to hound a celeb (especially a celeb who's had as many issues with media intrusion as Cara's had in the past) just for not wanting to give an interview, especially after being advised not to by the team she's a guest of. Brundle quickly realised what the deal was and moved on.

I'm quite excited for this weekend, Danny's back, looks like weather won't play a factor and a tight Hungary circuit could throw up a result. Max overdue a problem too so I have very high hopes :)

Wow, Lewis absolutely destroys Max by three one thousandths. Wasn't expecting that :)
So we did away with the rule that you start on the tyre that takes you into Q3 as it only gave the faster teams an advantage who could get into Q3 on a better race tyre. Now we are testing a new format that just hinders slower teams who may have made it out of Q1 or 2 by using a faster tyre ???
So much from qualy though, McLaren 3 and 4, Lando not happy with that! Zhou in 5th and Bottas in the top 10 too, go Alpha ! Danny up in 13th while his team mate is back in 17th, that's the first box ticked.
Someone needs to tell George that whilst there may be a gentlemans agreement in place when creating space there's clearly no gentlemen in F1, he must be wounded to be so far back with Lewis on pole.
Lets be honest Max has the championship in the bag, it's not like Red Bull have suddenly lost all their pace but a champions mind now would not to be silly, he only needs to bag half decent points for the rest of the season such is his lead. So knowing max I fully expect him and Lewis to come together at T1, Lewis desperately, desperately needs a win, points, even second place mean absolutely nothing. He has nothing to lose.
Excited for this one :)

Yes baz, that's why I said it and even stuck a smiley on the end in case anyone thought I was being serious.

Just been talking with Sis-in-Law, an avid fan, and we have decided that the first corner outcome will see Lewis leaving the corner in first place, Lando and Max having a slight collision, and Max having to retire with damage. [sometimes wishes come true]. Also trying to remember if Dr. Marko has EVER smiled!!! I really wonder what his useful input can be to a team that already has many younger experts, with more modern experience than him. Curious!!. Looking forward to 2pm. As said, Max will have his 3rd Championship[ come what may, but watch out for Mercedes next year!. It was significant that on Friday, Lewis was faster down the main straight than Max, because straight line speed has been Mercedes Achilles heel until now. Could make Spa with it's long straights interesting!!. Indycar tonight.

if the old brain is still working correct the last time Hamilton was on pole was 2021 in Saudi we will see how he does today :thumb:

Well that's bang on. I was thinking exactly the same yesterday. Marko never smiles.
