Guys I can recommend a couple of bands for you to check out try, exit calm, the sound like early verve and kind of shoe gaze type of music if you know what that was??,I also like a band frome stoke called all the young,a wee bit of a britpop sound, good guitar driven sound .

Seeing Imelda May in March. I've seen her twice, she's brilliant. Well worth seeing if you like rock n' roll or rockabilly, slight jazz twang to it, beautiful voice.

Saw Imelda May last Thursday, absolutely brilliant. Proper no nonsense Rock n' Roll, I think she's touring now, well worth seeing. And I'll be seeing Matt Berry (IT Crowd, Toast of London etc) playing on 4th April, intriguing.

As posted above I went to see Imelda May, here's a pic from the night, I had a photopass, got tons more. I've tried to give the pic a kind of smoky jazz club feel, C&C ? If people are interested I can post up more gig pics.

..... and I saw Matt Berry last Friday, really surprised at how good he was. He's touring now, if you're a fan of his comedy acting you'll enjoy his music too.

Watched Green Day's Broadway Idiot documentary the other night, fantastic watch and very interesting. Covers the development of the theatrical production based on their American Idiot album, which became a sell out on Broadway.

Not sure where you can watch it, as I caught it on Sky Arts. But if you see it on anywhere, well worth a watch in my opinion :)

Steve

It was a brilliant night :thumb: 27 songs split over two sets and two encores. Started at 8pm and finished just after 11pm with a 15 or 20 min break between first and second set. Was the first time I had seen them and hopefully won't be the last

Can't recommend Imelda May highly enough if you like rock n' roll or rockabilly or just a good night out. Got Johnny Marr tickets today for the De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill, fantastic venue, and Jim Jones Revue farewell tour at The Forum in Kentish Town in October. Dreadzone in a few weeks at Bath, again in November at Tunbridge Wells, followed a week later by John Otway. Probably Womad festival in July too.
