This argument about too many games doesn’t wash with me, that’s why you have a squad, to allow you to rotate players. These guys are professional athletes backed up by the very latest and best of medical care, continual scientific and physical analysis and one to one dietitian and lifestyle coaches. If they are so hard pushed how do most of them always seem to find time to get plastered down the nightclub or turn up in Marbella between games. I’d honestly like to see any of them carry out a weeks work on a building site, or do 7 nightshifts in a hospital, then go home and help bring up a family.

@Condor, Scotland didn’t qualify for Qatar or did I miss something.

Regarding strikers, I don’t know why and have yet to talk to anyone else on why on earth Che Adams keeps making the team, brings very little to the team.

I'd like to see where these players are going to nightclubs and Marbella if you can back that up? Thing of the past and a generational thing. It was asked how the quality of play isn't there and it's injuries, lack of form, too many games. And considering everyone in the footballing world agrees, then you should read into it.

That’s why you have squads of players. PL you can have 25 players over the age of 21 and as many as you want under, you can change the squad after each transfer window, and you can have a completely different squad with slightly different rules for UEFA competitions, if your budget allows. If players are getting tired(which is a big cause of injury), then it’s down to poor personal fitness or poor team selection by management.

Considering it is a problem that EVERY PL team has, and those in Europe and even down in the Championship, then clearly it isn't a management issue.

Another issue is that the fans expect to see their multi million pound players every game every week and if they don’t they become restless, especially if results go against them, the same can be said of sponsors and shareholders. The problem isn’t the amount of games it’s the amount of game time that certain players are expected to play, but if you have a full squad and apply rotation then there shouldn’t be an issue.

But, it is an issue because of the amount of games… it’s not that hard to see.

Second half is painful to watch. England are awful. Serbia deserve something from the game on the second half performance

This is just painful. Southgate makes the bizarre changes, and yet Kane who is invisible is still “playing”
