Watching this performance by a German Fire Brigade turning out to a barn fire, talk about fred karnoes army https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n2udISTQDk its unbelievable I always thought
they were so well organised.

This performance reminds me of the 1976 Firemen's strike when the Army took over fire duties using
Green Goddesses, half a dozen were based at Full wood Barrack's in Preston. On one shout I was the rear escort as the green goddesses came out of the barracks entrance the centrifugal force as they
turned hard over to the right caused the lockers holding the hoses to burst open spilling all the fire hoses to fall out onto the carriageway, I retrieved them put them in my patrol car and caught the green goddesses up at the fire. The look on the face of the Army Officer at the lack of hoses was a picture. I think some crew were fired, (Joke)

Went for a meal at the Beechwood inn, Grimsby, for My daughters 14th birthday. I went into the gents toilets, and as I went in a womans voice came from the cubicle, saying sorry wont be long. She came out of the cubicle with her very young son. Guess she got the wrong loo, but there is no Gents/Boys sign on the door, but Girls is on the ladies door.

I went with my wife to a local cafe named Benty's Farm access is down a farm track, there is a notice that states" Foot access only,"
my wife says I'm OK, where are you going,? I said "what do you mean" ? she replied my maiden name was "Foot" I thought that is quite funny and we both had a laugh.

Just back off holiday and popped in to the Company to see the team and have a quick catch up.
I decided to join them at tea break, and picked up an old copy of Viz.
Never laughed so much in a long time.

On the pavement in Greasby where I live is a notice that states Psychic Reading on the 12th, June, 2018.
It does'nt indicate where the event is to take place, perhaps you have to be a psychic to attend.

On this occasion instead of laugh I would change the title to smile. Several years ago I came across dozens of DVDs which were donated to our railway they were entitled Dave's Railways journeys in Switzerland, Holland, France, Germany, some were passenger, some were freight, they were all reasonably priced. Dave had a distinctive voice.

Today I was at New Brighton photographing the shipping coming and going from Gladstone & Langton Dock.
I got into conversation with an Ex Railway Signalman who had worked on the Settle to Carlisle Railway line.

I said to him you know you sound like Dave from Daves Railway Films, he said the reason is I am Dave I sold
my DVD company a few years ago and I now concentrate on shipping but only as a hobby.
