Argentina take the lead 1-0 against Australia after 35 minutes

Messi with the goal.

Up until then Argentina were going nowhere

Hasn't been a great game. Bar Messi, the Argies are an extremely average team.

England vs Senegal soon

Wish I hadn't started watching the ITV build up as all its been about is what dangers do Senegal pose and how they are a good team and will pose dangers from the set piece. Plus why do we have to have Roy Keane on the England fixtures? Does Alan shearer feature as a pundit on Irish international matches - no he doesn't.

50:50 game.
Maguire must be thanking his lucky stars that Mane is injured.

Senegal look a bit lose at the back I think we should be ok as long as we cope with the Senegal long ball

I know it's dangerous to look ahead but if we win then it is France next which really will be a test

Yes ! Yes!

England have suddenly become a counter attacking outfit

Half time England 2-0 Senegal

I agree McGuire and Stones have looked vulnerable

Well 35 mins of utter boredom followed by 10 mins of actual football and two goals.

My worry now as a football neurotic is that Senegal score the next goal and it is back to edge of the seat

England 3-0 at full time

Yes. A super goal. If this was France or Brazil we would be glorifying them but it is England looking very dangerous up front

England/France - both sides to score but an even match I expect.

After last night (and if the rumours are right) Liverpool’s midfield next season will be Rice, Henderson, Bellingham.

France will be a very proper test for England Saturday, and I can see our defence getting a hiding.
