Oh yes of course the All Blacks

Looking like the Three Lions will lose to the Springboks -:can't sack Eddie Jones with the world cup next year but what a waste of time

Argentina are making hard work of Mexico really scrappy

England were dreadful, the Saffers loose head got away with pulling down the scrum several times but they were well deserved winners. E Jones should have gone after the last World Cup.

England v Wales will be interesting on Tuesday

Quite enjoying the world cup

Unless it's my imagination the matches seem to be more condensed with four per day in the group stages

Argentina could go out here - they look very average, Messi hardly on the ball

,Think they are working on the saturation principle Mike.If you put enough on one might be good. For the value of most of the players I have been very disappointed but have enjoyed the African and Arab teams for their sheer effort

Should have added I am sick of the rolling over holding the head when your team is under pressure ploy and the almost dead player treated by medics who limps about as play resumes only to take off like a rocket if an opposition attack happens.I played at a few levels both here and down Nottingham way and Like many many players I took the view you didnt let the guy know he hurt you .No Matter what the pain if you looked him in the eye and said is that all you have he wouldnt come near you again. Now it seems to be slight nudge give the guys in the team a rest and someone will do it for you .Two examples of that are Beckenbauer in 1970 playing on with a badly damaged Collar bone in a sling and of course Jack Charlton against Scotland in I can never remember 1965 or 67.Cant remember exactly but I think he had the smaller bone above the ankle broken and came back on to finish the game AND SCORE.Eleven guys like that and you would win anything.Cant include Terry Butcher for his actions as he should have been of for the blood issues at the time with AIDS being about.

Alan Hunter played centre back before T Butcher, the chant went, 6 ft 2 eyes are blue Alan Hunter’s after you. Very true and a most under rated defender.

ICant remember an Alan Hunter but I do remember Norman Hunter of Leeds .When Celtic played Leeds in the European games in I think 1970.There were a lot of guys on both sides of whom I would have been very wary.Mick Jones being one ,how could they play Chivers ahead of him?Londonshire maybe? My ankles still hurt after Hunter and I was hundreds of miles away watching tele for the first leg..

Not sure how close Hunter would get to Mbappe!

Norman ' bite yer legs ' Hunter in white corner and Ron ' chopper' Harris in the blue corner!

A mediocre Argentina scored a couple of decent goals to beat Mexico 2-0 including a goal from you know who?

I remember N Hunter from the Revie Leeds team and not my style of player either. Rules were different then as you’ll know, slide tackles, elbows etc were rather fierce.
Alan H Northern Ireland capped player was under rated in my view and with Kevin Beattie and George Butley made a formidable defence Mick Mills being the weaker of that back four.

Back to the World Cup.

Not now they're not. 2-0 in extra time and a victory that takes Morocco top of their group.
Unless Croatia whip Canada shortly then goal-difference surely keeps the Moroccans up there
Outstanding and fully deserved.

So tonight, who is looking forward to some Spanish flair?

Apparently the second best ranked team just lost to Morocco 0-2; anybody can beat anybody

I didn't see the match but the high lights showed some very strange scenes of Belgium just walking the ball around..

Cannot wait for Spain vs Germany

1605L
Canada saw the earlier match and said...hold our beers.
Fastest WC goal so far this competition.

1650L
Normal service resumed. Croatia 2-1 up at half-time.

1755L
Finishing 4-1 to Croatia.

So it'll be a tasty match between Belgium and Croatia to sort this group out as Morocco should beat Canada.
Both matches 1500 on Thursday.

Germany equalised with a screamer, just 6 minutes of normal time remaining

Finished 1-1

Ghana won 3-2

Just settling down for Brazil against Switzerland

What is this obsession with Phil Foden?? I am waiting for ITV to ask the Brazil manager if Phil Foden should play in centre - midfield!
