How crap is Windows update?

you should have imported them across from previous version when asked to do so !

I wasn't asked it just updated gave me no choice, a pc expert said the update should have given me the choice but it didn't !

Have you checked the Favourites folder in File Explorer?

just a little heads up to everybody woke up this morning to a windows update screen .let it run while i went out to the supermarket came back fired up the computer and guess what No internet, checked my router, checked the cables and ran diagnostics
Nothing all the computer could tell me was that i had a problem
I knew it was not the router as my tablet was working ok so a little bit of on line investigation led me to try to delete the update on completion shut the computer down for a restart and wonder of wonders internet fired up again
Surely Microsoft must do some kind of trials before they release these update,s or are we just the guinea pigs sorting there problems for them

Same here; about 10 mins and no probs with either laptop or PC

Updated PC yesterday, no problems today.

Yep 10 minutes on the update this morning, must be a small one as the last couple have taken almost an hour
