England have been extremely lucky during the last 15 minutes and could easily be 5 wickets down, currently it's 41-2.
Roy needs to bat further down the order and Root should have the captaincy taken off him to concentrate on his batting, much like what happened to Ian Botham many years ago - which worked a treat.

You could tell that Root was about to declare because one of the staff held up 3 fingers to the batsmen from the player's balcony - that meant there were 3 overs to go.
If they'd waited to get 300 then they would have run out of time to bowl out the Aussies.
