Another very good view of ISS tonight even though it wasn't completely dark, it was very bright. Amazing to still
see it as it is approaching over head Austria !!!! :thumbs:

There is only one more late passing tonight :

24 Aug Start 21:12:35 W / end 21:17:16 S

There are some early AM ones mid / end of September. Then end of October for evening ones again.

By far the best & most used site, for basic pass info is Heavens Above : http://www.heavens-above.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A break in the clouds gave me a chance at a very hurried shot of tonights 19.05 pass.
Please ignore the birdbox and washing lines :D

Will have another go tomorrow if the weather permits, hopefully somewhere more scenic.

Another from tonights 19.51 pass, I thought this remote location would be better, but strong moonlight from the left and sodium light pollution from towns on the coast on the right meant it was not as dark as I'd hoped. Although I did see many other satellites and half a dozen shooting stars :cool:

Mattstratfordonavon wrote:the nasa website has been changed, the page that gives a list of pass's is not available at the moment, ive sign'd up for alerts but only get the odd one, tonight its 18:06 sw to sse, please could anyone piont out the best times and dates ,matt.
Noticed that this week. The old SkyWatch pages are still there with the data (for example, http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/si ... Chelmsford" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

The new "Spot the Station" service isn't as good. I can't see why they won't just give a listing, rather than forcing people to sign up for alerts.

I use this site guys. http://iss.astroviewer.net/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Home tab shows the current position and the astronauts view. With the Observation tab you can set your own location (co-ordinates of where you live) then you'll see the information it gives you. ;)

Nice link Eagle - I clicked it just in time to see the ISS was off the west coast of Ireland but it was too cloudy to see by eye.

Some bright passes starting again this week 12th February onwards :thumb: Would have said look out for the Progress mission 50P / M-18M which launched yesterday (11-02-2013) but it's docked with ISS around 6 hours after launch :Wow:

Drew a blank on Tebay today but I've just seen the ISS directly overhead so my day hasn't been all bad! :thumb:
