Nice victory for Mark Carney and his Liberals in Canada.

Carney is quoted to have said “America wants our land, our resources, our water. These are not idle threats. Trump is trying to break us so America can own us. That will never happen.”

I reckon Mr Carney can out think Mr Trump and defend Canada’s interests very very effectively.

Five Eyes going forward will be a very very interesting watch.

Carney is a very clever pragamtic operator. One to one against Lord Dampnut can only end up one way.

Genuinely hope Carney does a better job than he did as Governor of the Bank of England holding interest rates at sub 1% levels.
