Your comment doesn’t really make sense. It’s a perfect valid penalty for the 2 Mercedes drivers. Cars have always been altered from the pits?

Easy win for Piastri and glad he won. Norris, no comment - he gave up the race yesterday with those negative comments. Half decent race.

That's a bit more like it. Though the safety car ruined the race that was shaping out, it started another one which was arguably more interesting. Also a shame that the final classification is yet to be decided, despite half the issues being the fault of race control/the circuit!
Some great drives either end of the grid. Maybe not with Norris, nor do I agree with the driver of the day.

Russell keeps his position, but Hulkenburg is disqualified for plank wear. Pastizzi however is fine despite obviously bottoming out along the main straight for the first few laps..

I'd like a Brit to have taken the win but Russell 3rd, Norris 4th, Hamilton 5th and Bearman 10th. I'll take that. Norris still top of the standings after a fairly poor weekend for him. Hope he pulls himself together now.

Q3 in Saudi. Norris hits the wall and the wall won. Lando will be 10th on starting grid tomorrow.

Weren't a bad race. Though Nozzer really needs to bounce back in Miami or his championship is over already.
Credit to the broadcasters for not showing the interviews with Tsunoda and ghastly gasly during the race, as when there's live action going on that is what we want too see!

Has Hamilton fallen into the trap of not retiring at the top and being remembered for his final so-so seasons rather than his peak years?

He definitely should have left post 2021.
Apparently the current regulations aren't really suited to the way he drives (maybe a certain team lobbying for these regulations whilst being thoroughly beaten knew that..), so we'll find out for sure next year. But until then he is currently occupying a seat that Sainz would be doing better in, except for the China Sprint maybe. Mercedes certainly seem to be doing better now they are not trying to make a car he can drive competitively.
Then again Alonso isn't really setting the world alight right now either...

Personally, I think Lewis is enjoying himself. Yes, he would like another championship, but if it doesn't happen, I'm not sure that he would be terribly bothered quite honestly. He has nothing to prove. and if it works, fine, but if not so what??

I think we will see him improve as the season goes on. He will always be remembered for his best years, we don't look back and remember the likes of Vettel, Schuey or Hill for the tail ends of their careers. When the '26 cars land will be the big one.

I agree, he's still getting into the nuances of Ferrari, not just the car, his new engineer and all that kind of thing, I'm sure he will come good.
We all know he is actually an eight time world champion, whatever people might say, so he really has nothing to prove at all.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Change the results of just 4 races, and he's an 11 times WDC.

Crazy isn't it, there's a similar stat for Alonso, 3rd in 2007 by 1pt, 2nd in 2010 by 4pts, 2nd in 2012 by 3pts. 8 points and a 5 time WDC.

Very true. History could have been very different if he'd not thrown his toys out of the pram and left Ferrari. Gotta say he shot himself in the foot multiple times in 2007 also.
