If he cannot accept and understand the effect of his decisions and actions then he shouldn't be in control of a PlayStation never mind anything else! Clearly had no compassion or care for anyone involved.
Re: What a fool believes.....
The thread about this was closed some time ago. Interesting question. Should people who are responsible for causing Death By Dangerous or Careless Driving be banned from driving for life, or does this only apply to pilots??
Re: What a fool believes.....
Correct the thread was closed
Because no one thought he would be idiotic enough to try and reapply
Re: What a fool believes.....
The thread was closed because he was being referred to by that delightful term 'scum-bag', which I am sure was breaking the rules. I know that, because it was locked at my suggestion after that horrible term was used.

Is that not just your opinion about that word? could it be that suggestion is in fact forcing that opinion on the rest of us by doing so? It is after all a forum made up of various and wide ranging opinions. I would alos suggest that the families involved use a much stronger word for that man.

Re: What a fool believes.....
If their driving is of such a low standard that they’re killing people whilst doing it, then why shouldn’t they be banned for life.
A licence to drive is not a right, nor is a pilots licence, IMHO.
There appears to be a certain amount of hubris at play here in the attempt to regain his flying licence, probably not unrelated to why the crash happened in the first place, the CAA seem to agree.
I feel for the families involved.
Re: What a fool believes.....
I think most of us on here, if we caused the deaths of 11 people through dangerous/careless driving, we wouldn’t be in any kind of mental state to get behind the wheel again, maybe we aren’t as arrogant or ignorant as pilots though?

The pilot should be in prison
The Coroner ruled that 11 men had been unlawfully killed
The Hill claims he cannot remember anything about the accident from three days before the crash yet he can recall he had cognitive impairment
Mr Hill has always maintained he has no recollection of the crash. Yet he can recall he had "cognitive impairment" brought on by hypoxia possibly due to the effects of G-force. I don't know how but Hill was found not guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence - the Coroner in December 2022, a coroner ruled Mr Hill's flying of the Hawker Hunter plane led to the 11 men being unlawfully killed.
From the BBC articles above
The former RAF instructor claimed at his trial that he had blacked out in the air, having experienced "cognitive impairment" brought on by hypoxia possibly due to the effects of G-force.
However, the coroner found there was no evidence of any G-force related impairment of the pilot during the loop-the-loop stunt he performed.
