Plus for Royal Mail

Post by Condor68 » Thu Jan 25, 2024 9:54 pm

I know I am going to get pelters for this but over some years before lockdown up to present day I have had no problems with Royal Mail most deliveries I knew were coming were on time or early one or two have been late but only by a day.I dont get letters now but business correspondences show the same going by dates that they were written makes it better as I dont know when they were posted.I Ordered a springbar for a watch sunday night from some where in england arrived Tuesday morning. Its beyond me to say anything about other folks service but I certainly back RM.My claim is easily checked by independant auditors but it is true..Believe ve in the Past I was quiet but on claaim with FORD the guy daid how can we fis it if you dont tell us?Launch of take on the big guys ,Now I seem to be defending them . I refuse to believe I am the only one in the country gettin good service

I don't have any problems with our local post person - junk mail is reliably delivered every day almost without fail.

Not forgetting of course the Royal mail and the now infamous post office are separate organisations.

After praising our postal services on a few threads over the years.Couldnt work out why a parcel from apprx 60 miles away was taking so long to get here.On checking tracking, parcel has been of on its Hols.Huntly to Belfast then on to Londonderry then back to Aberdeen.I called to ask when I might get it and found the confusion had been caused by the sender giving the tracking code as starting with ll not ii.As I spoke to operative she told me it was on its way to Perth ie it will pass here head on 30ish miles to come back over the weekend.Even though the tracking code was wrong the Post Code and address was correct so cant see why it went walkabout.

Still reckon that for me personally
they are doing a good job.Very few hiccups.

Bit of a boob on my behalf,Dealing with other stuff didnt notice The package was coming via Parcel farce, explains it all.Tracker now shows it in Perth but over the weekend it appears to have had trips to Edinburgh and London Central. So Royal mail still seem to be looking after me.
