As the track action is so monstrously exciting, mental Marko is now 'at risk of suspension' due to his actions with the horny horner controversy. It helps to have the majority shareholders on your side I guess...

Q1 just about to start. Sainz has had surgery for appendicitis and is according to Fred Vasseur doing well
Yes hope he is doing well as it's a nasty little thing to happen as it nearly killed me when I was 11yo and it happened to my mate 20 years after me.

Oh forgot to say shock and boring result yet again, Wish we had a yawning emoji.

Is it me or does the McLaren turn into a Ferrari at turn 1..? Orange in every part of the track until the outside camera at turn 2 turns it red!

Indeed, though it must be mentally tough for a top driver to stay motivated driving a tractor.. Still early days yet.
Cracking job by Bearman, couldn't really have expected that from him, even if it was helped by the early race events. Great sacrificial team work from Magnussen too, even if his driving standards were sub-par again!

Mental marko has decided he's staying. Tricky to guess where the next controversy is going to creep up from...

It's going to be a looooooooong season.

It still makes no sense why he even entertained taking that seat. Yes he drove at Silverstone and would've been P2 next to Max according to Hornyman - But theen you put an experienced senior in a junior team. Mental. Helmut Marko - the strangest man on the grid who should've gone a while ago

Better than no seat at all. He does need to up his game though, if this soap opera with the energy drinks team does blow up with boy wonder leaving as threatened, he'd be a high bet for one of the seats. That will change if he doesn't pull his finger out, and even then, Lawson might get switched in.

Quite enjoyed that, plenty of action through the field again. Having Bearman in made for an interesting element, didn't he do well. Maybe we could have a wild card every week? :)

Abbi Pulling promoted to winner after Pin basically forgot to stop at the end of the race. Tbf they could easily have done that before the podium.

Horny horner gone by Australia apparently. Must be struggling to find conspiracy elsewhere then?

Alan Permain quoted as saying the mini energy drinks team are deeply unhappy about Magnussens 'unsportsmanlike' driving, and will bring it up with the FIA at the next race so it doesn't happen again.

Horner gone by Australia, can I ask the source of this rumour, just interested?
Cheers
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Not her fault, that's her team's fault. Should be them penalised

You have to pay attention to the flags, radio failure is not uncommon. Team not telling her is a poor excuse. They can't just penalise the team and allow the result to stand when something as serious as this happens. Imagine if only teams got penalties, drivers would be cheating all over the place.

Every commentator and ex-race has said it's a ludicrous decision, which is it is, and the flag was way too high for the driver to even see it. It's 100% on the team, easily, why didn't the engineer celebrate over the radio as is oh so common??

Anyway, thought this was an F1 thread. :)

The Dutch journalist who broke the story originally is reporting it, I believe.
