Have drawn France in the sweepstake at work, find out later whether that’s a good thing or not

Sounds mad but I fancy France to beat the All Blacks tonight especially after the pounding SA gave the Kiwis

Back in the day when the All Blacks seemed invincible it was always the unpredictable French that caused them problems

Oh! The AB score a try in less than 2 minutes

( bit like at Lakenheath when asked if the Norwegian are likely to go up again and I said I doubt it !)

I suppose it could have gone either way but well done France and that's back to back defeats for the AB and always good for the tournament if the hosts get off to a good start in basically a dead rubber as both teams should get out of their group.

Great game to get things going, hopefully a sign of things to come, big test for England later today.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Romania's lead didn't last long, 14-5 to Ireland now.

Fortunately we are playing in Marseille rather than somewhere ridiculously hot like Twickenham!

Not much difference temperature-wise. 28 to 29 degrees over there. Hit 32 in Brandon today.

Great interview with Borthwick where he says they feel people are writing them off too early! Should we wait a bit longer then? A slip of the tongue or a Coleman ball.

Seriously I hope England play well and win obviously. I see Jonny May is now in the Squad

Just watched a super match between Georgia and a young Wallabies team. Australia won but Georgia looked good in phases so Wales will have to be careful with Fiji Australia and Georgia in the group.

Amazing ENG lead 12 - 3 at half time thanks to 3 Ford drop goals

Argentina look really rattled

Opposition teams will have be on the alert for England's drop goals - not seen anything like it since The famous drop goal!

Well done England, brilliant. George Ford’s 58m drop goal was a killer for the Puma’s.

Superb England defence inducing error after error from Argentina but we didn't look like scoring a Try

I agree those three drop goals changed the whole tone of the match

Rugby Union is so technical now you only need to fart at the wrong time to give away a penalty. Accidental head contact results in a sending off - it was accidental so ok a yellow but not a red, rugby is meant to be a collision sport.

An inexplicably poor Argentina tonight who couldn’t get even the basics right most of the time.

Hard to see where England are after playing opposition like that, but at this stage it’s the points that matter, and fair play they took the chance even with 14.

The head contact is a difficult one, World Rugby are either serious about reducing it or not, can’t see how they can ignore it and it’s the same rules for everybody at the end of the day.
