Would prefer to go back in time no shops on Sundays only paper shops half day Wednesday. Supermarkets being greedy by opening all sorts of hours. Like post on Sundays. Weekends are rest days.
Rest days!! :Wow:
I was a firefighter for 25 years, Sunday is just another day, as it is for doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulance drivers, police, the list could go on.
you didn't get the memo... no fires on Sunday

I have the greatest respect for the Royal Mail all the lads and lassies trudging out in all kinds of weather. The poem The Night Mail By W H Auden sums it up nicely.

Suggest everyone that has had a b**ch and moan about posties and royal mail, go and watch the 3 bosses of the company giving evidence to the parliamentary committee.
Blaming everyone else but themselves and telling lie after lie.
These are the people who you should be whinging about and not the postie who can only do so much in their work time.

Agree
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

The parliamentary Committee has just published their findings and it is a damning indictment on Royal Mail management .
Looks like they are going to be investigated by OFCOM.
Just goes to prove that you shouldn't believe anything published by the so called impartial main stream media and press.

Intresting how RM can still justify the time and CO2, flying a less than half full Boeing 737 from Exeter to East midlands and back every week night and still run lorries on the same route too!!

When I started this I was really trying to praise the service I had been getting from mail pick up to my letter box.Have to say we are still lucky to have hard working posties who are doing an amazing job in this area at least. To any posties out there Thank You
