Been a while since i could be proud that there is a Dundee United connection to the World cup. Harry Soutter came from Brechin, through our youth system before joining Stoke and making a different International career choice to his brother. Aziz Behich joined us in the summer and has played very well through the group matches. Sadly our Welsh magician Dylan Levitt didnt get a chance after making quite a few notable appearances for Wales in the run up to the finals.

Expand that to a Scottish connection and Martin Boyle is with the Australia squad but missed out due to injury, Jason Cummings is another Scot to choose Australia, Aaron Mooy from Celtic and Jackson Irvine spent quite a bit of his career in Scotland, then there is Maeda from Celtic who is with Japan.

Not their in body, but plenty to fuel the spirit!

OK, not a football fan at all, but happened to be in a pub with my brother and a game was being aired on a big screen, France V ??, my god, I used to work for the Royal Shakespeare Company and have seen some acting but these 'players', WTF, how many broken bones, near death injuries have we witnessed, what a pathetic group of individuals, get a grip, play the game.
Thet are cheating, end of..
They wouldn't survive 2 minutes on a rugby pitch :Wow:
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

2 - 0 Argentina at the moment (20:38). If this and Saudi match stay as they are Poland qualify with less yellow cards :halo:

Mexico have to score another goal to overcome the fair play deficit - that's harsh

As I type Saudi score to finish Mexico - what a blow

Argentina and Poland through

Saudi Arabia gave a good account of themselves beating Argentina in the opening match

Shame I’m not at work, the Poles at work would have been in for some stick. At least they’ve qualified for the last 16

Poland are through

Big day for Germany tomorrow but although they are bottom of the group they probably will go through.

Germany must beat Costa Rica which they should do and hope that Japan don't beat Spain which is unlikely otherwise Germany will need a really big win to overcome Spain's goal advantage.

Costa Rica can qualify with a win

Also looking sketchy for Belgium. They need to beat Croatia as a draw won't be enough unless Canada stuff Morocco

My wife [half Polish] is very glad they got through, but a very poor performance from them. Without their goalkeeper, they would undoubtedly have lost!. Despite the two goals, he was far and away their best player!.

Not trying to stir things up but your playing Senegal and due respect they are a good team but the players England have you should be beating them no matter what channel the game is on, Still here's hoping the game goes Senegals way

Morocco 1 up against Canada

That means Belgium need to beat Croatia

Early doors though!

Morocco 2-0 up against Canada so a must win for Belgium

Belgium 0-0 Croatia

Under performing Belgium go out - they only scored one goal in the group stages
