He was just a front man - Ben Wallace is the brains and the brawn behind our military support. You never see Wallace at PMQ's these days because he's 100% dedicated to helping the UF. He's also consistently leads the polls of the Tory Party's favourite MP (voted by all the other Tory MPs) but it's very unlikely he will go for the top job - he wants to be the next NATO General Secretary. Military man through and through - unlike the waste of years that was Johnson the Liar.

BBC News reporting breaking news that No. 10 say BJ will make an announcement later that he will resign as Tory party leader - he hasn't actually gone as PM yet! Could be another lie from Downing Street? Expectations that BJ will try to hold on as interim PM until a new party leader is elected.

He is "Due to resign" today, however will stay in till October, to give enough time for a new leader! What a load of rubbish, we're in a huge mess and it needs sorting now.
One major issue that needs sorting by October is the energy crisis.

Its good to see reports of the likes of Liz Truss appearing to abandon all government business and get back home to no doubt put her name into the PM hat!
Be replacing Boris with Boris in a frock!

Re: Boris - it's all over now?
I wish people would realise that the Government has not got a bottomless pit of money that they can go to to service all the country's ills. Sort out the cost of living.. sort out the energy crisis, sort out Putin, sort out the N.H.S. Boris tried his best to do it. I agree he had to go, not because he was incompetent, but because he was a bit of an idiot when it came to his morality. Would Keir Starmer and a Labour Government have been better?? That I doubt very much. I suspect, deep down, that they are glad that they are not in power to deal with these difficult times. Always remember where the money has to come from. It is from you and I. But we don't want our taxes to rise, do we?, even though I feel it is the only way out of these crises.

Well the last 12 years of Tory leadership has done wonders for our economy and money hasn't it.

Perhaps the old Scottish fish face will go for the job , then she can have a referendum every year until she’s won.

Last 12 years of Tory leadership .....
National debt at long last was starting to be brought under control when the Covid pandemic changed everything, you could argue that the Tories should not have paid out so much in furlough? But rock and a hard place etc the government don't like to be seen to upset the electorate - that didn't bother Thatcher!
National debt suddenly jumped out of control during the 2008 financial crisis, under the stewardship of Gordon Brown - remember the note left in jest by Ed Balls to the incoming coalition chancellor!
It's easy as some on here do to ask questions wearing spectacles made by Hindsight inc.

Point of order, Mr Chairman: it was Liam Byrne, Ed Balls' No. 2 at the Treasury, who wrote and left the note.

Re: Boris - it's all over now?
It will be interesting to see if our next leader is a remainer of not?
Sunak - out
Truss - out
Javid - remainer
Wallace - remainer
Boris - out - entitled to throw his hat in!
Almost forgot Dominic Raab - out

There's a lot to say about the politics in my home country, but it is quite boring compared to what happens in the UK, in general, but certainly at the moment.
For me, as an outsider, it is Fawlty Towers all over again!
(not to offend anybody with this comparison, hope I'm not getting kicked out now

Basil for PM, Sybil as foreign secretary (would we even notice the change) and Polly actually running the show while Manuel replaces Raab.Antheii wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:58 amThere's a lot to say about the politics in my home country, but it is quite boring compared to what happens in the UK, in general, but certainly at the moment.

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
