Just an odd one. I know passengers coming to the country have to isolate for two weeks. What happens regards aircrew both civi and military. Does it mean their aircraft gets stranded here for two weeks.

In the civil world, aircrews, at least longhaul, don't take that aircraft back, they will stop-over for at least 1 night, and another crew already in place will take that airplane back. Shorthaul they may operate the return sector or stop-over for an early morning return, for example, again many crews will be in place throughout the week to do that and they will follows in-country protocols and be tested etc.

Military I understand operate within bubbles and will also be tested.

The current rules regarding isolation and quarantine do not apply to aircrew, they never have I assume the only difference is those on long haul flights will have to remain in the hotel room rather than go off sights seeing etc

My daughter is crew for BA, and as Phil says, on long haul and European night stops the crew will remain in their rooms, although this can differ from country to country. On a recent trip to San Francisco the crew were allowed out sightseeing and shopping! If she takes a flight down to South Africa she must have a Covid test 24 hrs before departure, and this must be negative. The crew are not tested on return!
