In the 13 years since Edwards air force base last hosted an air show, a lot has changed. Fifth generation aircraft now rule the skies and innovation is driving new technologies for America and her allies. The development and testing of new technology for many years has been centred around “Aerospace Valley”, the area includes Edwards AFB, Mojave Air and Space Port and United States Air Force (USAF) Plant 42. The theme of the events taking place at Edwards AFB to celebrate the 75th anniversary of both the USAF and the breaking of the sound barrier was “breaking tomorrow’s barriers today” which also included a record breaking science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) exhibition. The entire event was headlined by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds Flight Demonstration Team, and took place between 14th and 16th October 2022.

Aeroresource must be down at present but having already read the article I know it is extremely professionally written . Look forward to seeing it when it's working again. With some of my photos.

The page is loading fine for me - it must be one of those strange antics webpages get up to!Van Bullitt wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:55 pmAeroresource must be down at present but having already read the article I know it is extremely professionally written . I'm pleased to see another report on the Aeroresource site (the first since February 2021, I believe - I had been wondering today if we would ever see another report added to the site - my question was very quickly answered.)
As ever, full of the high quality writing and photography that I'd expect from any report on the site, hopefully there'll be many more to read in the years and months ahead.

I never went to the Edwards AFB airshow but I did visit the base three or four times, the free of charge NASA Dryden tours were fabulous, also there was quite a large museum type collection of aircraft.
Pre 911 it was an easy base to visit.

The SSL certificate expired back in June 2022 which is why many people won't be able to access it.
