YAM Halifax Nightshoot

Home to one of the finest collections of aircraft in the UK, Jamie Ewan travelled to the Yorkshire Air Museum for a nightshoot with their replica Handley Page Halifax III better known as 'Friday the 13th'.

A few years ago I went to the 'Halifax Heroes' event at Elvington. There were a number of veterans there from 158 Sqn at Lissett including Bluey Mottershead; a chap who flew Whitleys on maritime patrol, and one who flew a Stirling on D-Day.

A truly humbling experience.....
