Former Lightning Gate guard

A friend who was recently on holiday in Northumberland sent me some pics of the F-4 gate guard. When I first visited in '91 they had a lovely Lightning in 29 Sqn. mks. and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what happened to it when it was replaced?

Thanks for the info EGVP. Was worried that it might have been scrapped - which would have been a tragedy!

Shame it was given a paint job. I still have a postcard of it. Picked it up from the NAAFI when stationed at Boulmer in 82.
