Joint Warrior 192

Post by tornado17 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:24 pm

With Lossiemouth building works still ongoing, am I correct in thinking the MPA's and possibly other aircraft/helicopters will be using Prestwick again? I am in the area 4th-6th October and am hoping to get a few hours there to photograph them even if they are just sat on the ground.

I'm hoping to get to Prestwick tomorrow afternoon for my first visit this weekend, can anyone confirm what's on the ground and can they be photographed from the mound? I have a 600mm lens. Many thanks.

Haven't been out myself, but there should be 3 x CP140's, 2 x P8's & 2 x Atlantique, all parked on northside, some head on some tail on to the mound, your 600mm will be more than enough.

Craig.

HMS Sutherland (F81) sailed earlier with a tiger striped Merlin on the back. Presume this is ZH860 unless another has been painted?
