Re: Ex Joint Warrior
Late entry and slightly OT in that it was not at Prestwick: Last night (Friday) at 21.15 an H-60 with ADS-B Code AE4FD3 was operating in the Minch off Grimsay (North Uist). After a lot of detective work I have found It is purportedly 168131 (MH-60R apparently ex USS George W Bush) although I was unable to identify any USN ship in the immediate area. Hope this might be useful if it turns up further south later on this week!

USNS Medgar Evers and at least 2 destroyers are in and around the Minches at the mo, it may be off one of them.Ardmaraig wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 10:59 pmLate entry and slightly OT in that it was not at Prestwick: Last night (Friday) at 21.15 an H-60 with ADS-B Code AE4FD3 was operating in the Minch off Grimsay (North Uist). Thanks for that! I have a feeling it might have been off one of the destroyers because the Evers was well north of the Butt of Lewis at the time. Although several ships were operating closer to my location, nothing specifically USN was showing up on Marine Traffic.

Since the final day of this Exercise is given as Thursday 11th, from past experience at Lossiemouth the MPA's normally wind down operations and start to depart a couple of days before.
So, I'm guessing that departures will be around next Wednesday. Anyone have any more accurate information yet?
